It is important to keep a record of when you last applied stain to the exterior of your home. If you have not done so the past several years, be sure to do this now. It is important to stain your home when the temperature is between 10 and 30 degrees. It can occasionally work if the temperature is a bit lower, but it is important to be sure there is no layer of frost or ice over the wood, as this will interfere with how the stain adheres to the siding. If the temperatures in your area are already too low, you can make an appointment to have this done in the spring.
